The Tale of the Unfortunate Ice Cream

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful place called Sunset Desert, which is on a completely different continent, yet a Hot-Air Balloon is logically the safest and fastest way to cross oceans and get to it. Of course, this hot air balloon moves as fast as your internet speed, and is not affected by the extreme heats of the desert. Why would a hot air balloon, which relies on the temperature of the air to function and be controlled, ever be affected by the heat or freezing coldness of a desert?

Here, creatures thrived, including a lonely Ice Cream.
(who magically was not affect by the heat of the desert either)

This Ice Cream's mind slowly deteriorated as he got heat stroke and began to melt. Then every night, when the desert cooled, he would refreeze, being forced to live a painful, tortured life like the Titan Prometheus due to whatever he had done to anger the developers.

A bored Adventurer by the name of Kirache stumbled upon the poor beast.
Because the correct thing to do when you see a living being that is not an aggressive bear, poisonous frog, mouse carrying the Black Death, furious midget, or naturally controlling and selfish human beings is to immediately find its weakness and slaughter it in its very own home, Kirache decided that she would assess this poor creature for its weakness.

The poor Ice Cream was deathly afraid and allergic of blunt objects that really can't hurt you, and for some messed up, ironic reason, was also deathly afraid and allergic to coldness, the one thing that kept him alive. (Perhaps he had gotten tired of being killed and resurrected every day and wished to die for good).

Upon stalking the poor creature for hours of game time and watching the sun rise, Kirache decided it was time to take action and murder the harmless creature in cold blood. She made sure to torment the Ice Cream with his fears before ending its pitiful life.

The Ice Cream died a painful, slow death in the form of being smashed by a staff and allergic reactions to ice. (For some reason being an Ice Cream and living in a desert where nights are freezing cold didn't kill him before Kirache arrived).

Kirache happily walked away, not bothered at all by the murder she had just performed, because she's used to murdering thousands of monsters a day (which is necessary in order to proceed with life in this world).

She shared her drop with her friend ImmrotalStar, who only tolerates her mental insanity and cold-blooded murdering everyday because the entire world of Eden Eternal revolves around the slaughter of the innocent.

The Tale of the Unfortunate Ice Cream

Brought to you by the mass murderer Kirache who loves to share her kills on the internet like any other mentally unstable person.

Dragon Party?

So today, I was strolling around in Aven when I came upon a strange appearance... A ton of dragon mounts all clumped together in a grand display!

And now we shall take over the world with our dragon powers!

Reawakening Patch

Welcome to Everything Eden Eternal! My name is Kirache, and I will be your host today. Everything Eden Eternal, or TripleE for short, is a blog for... Well, Everything Eden Eternal!

I used to play years ago, when Humans and Ursuns were the only classes. I quit around level 30, and returned just a week or two before the Reawakening Patch on a brand new account as the Adventurer Kirache. So, let's explore this patch!

There's a beautiful new launcher, with an anime samurai and knight posing on the sides, although the way less professional and graphically pleasing "1AP SHOP" advertisement pretty much ruins the lovely anime mood. There's also a pretty loading screen showing every single class drawn as an anime character in a crowd on the left side, but today happens to be the only day where my internet is decent and I actually don't have the time to take a screenshot of it due to how fast it loads.

The login screen shows a cinematic fly through a map as usual, but I'm pretty sure that the only map it uses is Aven during daytime now, as I haven't gotten another map tour from the login screen yet.

The character creation screen has also gotten a makeover! I had to go on Diamond instead of Sapphire to get to the character creation screen, as I used up all of my character slots of Sapphire.

You can now try on costumes and see how they look on your character on the character creation screen! Not to mention, you now have a choice of 5 starting classes (the first class in every class section) instead of only 2 (warrior and magician). The class outfit that is displayed when you choose a class to see is most likely the very last unlockable outfit, as I've never seen any of them before and they all look complicated unlike the simply starting outfits.

I've also heard rumors about a new mdps class that might be released soon called the Chaos Knight that will be playable as a starting class, but that's a discussion for another post.

If anybody can guess which anime character I was trying to make this character look like, kudos to you! (Well, technically it's a vocaloid, not anime character.)

And now, for the ingame changes! First off, the way the graphics are shaded and detailed has been redone. I have to say, my pink ponytail looks a lot nicer with this patch.

New players after the Reawakening Patch now get a wider selection of pets in the pet quest you receive at level 5. Instead of only having the two choices of a battle dog or magic dog like older users, you now can choose between a bird, cat, bunny, and the battle or magic dog.

New users also receive a Prime mount that gives 50% extra movement speed. It was nice that the movement speeds for the default Alpaca mount was raised from 15% to 25%, but the Prime mount and extra pet selection new users get really makes me jealous. I'm alright with how they get more 7-slot bags however, as I'm perfectly content with my 3. I've tested out that the pets aren't archivable, but so far have been too lazy to create a new character and test out if the mount is.

When you hover your mouse over a monster, it now glows like Edward Cullen had been put in a blender and was used to make some sort of body gel for the monster. This does make it easier to see which monster you're clicking before you click it, although the main purpose it serves for me is to oo and aa at the monster's details. My graphics are all on lowest settings due to my horrible internet and lag, so these graphics aren't as pretty as they are intended to be.

The jump feature has been changed, taking away the fun spins, but giving us a nice way of taking shortcuts on maps by jumping right over those annoying hedges instead of having to run all the way around. It also happens to give us the option of jumping on top of basically anything.

I'm the King of the World! (Well... Queen)

And here's exactly where I went! Oh the fun of Avila Volcano!

The double jump is a bit annoying in how the second jump is sometimes delayed, and because I have a tendency of getting stuck in a place I jumped into from above and ending up having to soul return or spatial conversion back to whichever soul guardian I'm linked to just to get out.

It's a lot easier to slide cast now to farm dungeons, and you can now slidecast with your WASD keys if the monster is to the side of you (otherwise you turn around and run into the monsters) without stopping, but farming dungeons has become pretty much profitless thanks to the new change on "unlimited" dungeons. Yes, now we have the choice between easy 0/2 limited and hard 0/10 limited. It's a change that made my character sob on the tables of Century.

Why does the game have to make it easier to slide cast, then remove unlimited dungeons? It's like mocking a little kid by waving candy in her face!

Many skills have been changed in the Reawakening Patch. All instant cast skills can be slidecasted with ease. Burning metal now needs a target to cast, nerfing bards even further in terms of dungeon soloing. You simply can't hit mobs as far when your AoE needs a target (which will usually be at the front of the mob running towards you thanks to how tab works) unless you waste valuable time clicking a mob in the middle of the group and then using your AoE and risk getting hit. The Ranger AoEs have been changed to require a target instead of giving you the AoE circle to aim. While it might be slightly more convenient and faster to use, Rangers now have no way of hitting hiding theives and revealing them.

The healing class skill Tornado has been made so that it needs a target to be cast, a change that I'm not quite sure is good or bad. Now I have to switch targets from healing a tank to using tornado, but at the same time now my healing classes can solo dungeons by slide casting the entire thing.

The Samurai class has gotten its AoE horribly nerfed, as I have heard. I'm still 5 character levels away from getting the class, so I have yet to try it out. Samurai have an AoE that hits in a straight line, and used to give the classic AoE aiming mechanic where you click where you want to hit. Now, it needs a target, and the AoE travels forward slower than before. This makes the AoE easily avoidable and so that it basically never hits a moving target unless it's running straight at you. While there are many things I like about this update, I feel like classes were just nerfed too horribly in terms of skills.

Buffs now buff every party member in the AoE radius of the buff from which party member you selected to use the buff on. While this is a plus for party running things due to the fact that you now have to buff way less times (only once per buff as opposed to once per buff per party member) it also has certain catches. Since buffs are for a party only, you now can't be helpful to random people and buff them unless you party them, buff them, then leave. That takes away one of the most satisfying parts of being a healer -- Buffing random people and receiving a thanks!

While complaining about these changes, I noticed the change in the peer chat...

It's now 1-49, 50-69, and 70+! As you can probably tell, the peer is over flooded now to the point where if I immediately take a screenshot upon logging in, there's already two comments. The peer chats are just too big! It's overwhelming and spams up the chat very efficiently, making it difficult to reply to anybody or be heard. So many people I know have gone as far as disabling the peer chat.

On a different note, the Character and Class Interface has been changed. Title, Fame, and Achievement have been taken off the little map icon....

And added to the Character Stats Window! I was really confused as to where to view my fame and change my title at first, but found it with some help from the overflowing peer chat.

Many other things, such as the Arcane Box, have also been moved off of the map icon. The inventory received most of the icons.

In addition, the Alpaca Token system has been changed!

You have to use Alpaca Coins to purchase from the Happy Alpaca NPC in towns. To get Alpaca Coins, you just right click your Alpaca Tokens. That took me surprisingly long to figure out.

Yes, now you can buy specific dyes from the Alpaca using Alpaca Coins instead of using Mystery Capsules and hoping you get lucky with the dye you want! I don't find much use for it, however, due to how I like the basic colors class outfits come in just fine (and actually am in love with them!) and how it costs 100 alpaca coins, which I'd much rather spend on a Silver Mystery Capsule or 10 Copper Mystery Capsules.

The Class Interface has also been changed.

Class Expertise has been changed into "Class Ability Bonus." I have to say, some of the bonuses for the classes are quite stupid.

M-atk for a theif? That's just ridiculous. No theif skill uses M-atk! Some of the bonuses are actually logical, like G-Healing for a bard and M-atk for a magician, but for some of the unfortunate classes, I feel like they just had nothing else to stick in as a bonus. I'm not sure if Class Ability Bonuses affect all your classes (your character in general) or just the class the bonus is for, and will be testing it when I have time. I'm praying that it's for all of your classes, so that the less fortunate classes with the bad placement of a bonus at least allow other classes to do better. (And because I want better stats on my character from all my classes! Woohoo!)

That's all I can think of that's been changed for now! Feel free to remind me if I forgot anything! That's it for the very first Edition of Every Eden Eternal. I look forward to seeing you for later Editions!
